Muffy Koster

Muffy is a writer and performing artist based in San Francisco. Her research applies an embodied Marxist analysis to the theatrical dimensions of the contemporary workplace, especially in the service and hospitality industries. Her project aims to understand how technologies of difference, especially gender, are produced at the concrete and abstract levels by labor processes which are inflected by digital media, automation, and performance. Muffy's theatre criticism, public scholarship, and creative practice focus on an emerging 21st-century worker's theatre.
