Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination Required for Entry

Ages 12 and older: Have received a booster vaccination at least 14 days before the performance; OR if not yet eligible for the booster:

  • Have received a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines within the past five months and at least 14 days before the performance; OR
  • Have received a first dose of Johnson & Johnson in the past two months and at least 14 days before the performance.

Ages 5 through 11: Have received a second dose of the Pfizer vaccine at least 14 days before the performance.

Acceptable Methods for Proof of Vaccination

All methods, except the CLEAR Health Pass, will require that you display a valid photo ID.

Recommended Methods:

  • CLEAR Health Pass: See instructions on how to download the CLEAR App and obtain your Health Pass.
  • A green campus access badge on the UC Berkeley Mobile app (UC Berkeley faculty, staff, and students only).
  • A digital COVID-19 vaccine record issued by the State of California, or similar documentation issued by another state, local, or foreign governmental jurisdiction.
  • An authentic digital record that includes a QR code scannable by a SMART Health Card reader that accurately displays client name, date of birth, vaccine dates, and vaccine type. Learn more here.

Other Acceptable Methods:

  • A vaccination card issued by the CDC or a foreign governmental jurisdiction that includes the name of the person vaccinated, the type of vaccine provided, and the date(s) the dose or doses were administered.
  • A photo or copy of a vaccination card as a hard copy or stored as a photo on a phone or electronic device.
  • Documentation of vaccination from a healthcare provider.

Mask-Wearing Required Indoors

  • All attendees must wear a mask over their nose and mouth in indoor spaces at all times (including throughout the performance).
  • When selecting your mask, we ask that you make every attempt to wear N95, KN95, KF94, or FFP2 masks, since they have been shown to be some of the most effective at protecting against COVID-19 transmission. If these masks are not available, double masking is strongly recommended.

Considerations Before Attending

  • If you are sick or have been experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, have been in contact with someone known to be or suspected to have been infected with COVID-19 within the last 10 days, or are subject to a quarantine or isolation order, please stay home and do not attend the performance.
  • We are happy to exchange your tickets or issue a full refund if you contact the ticket office up to three hours prior to the performance.

Planning Your Visit

Arrival & Doors

Please plan to arrive on campus 30–40 minutes prior to an event to ensure that you are in your seat before showtime. The lobby generally open 30 minutes prior to the performance, and the theater generally open 20 minutes prior to the performance.

Visit our facilities page for directions to Zellerbach Playhouse, Durham Studio Theater, and other venues.

Detailed information, locations, and pricing of nearby parking lots can be found on Parkopedia. Occasionally, two or more campus events occur on the same day or evening, which can make finding a parking space more challenging. See Cal Performances' parking alerts for updates on known possible parking conflicts.

Wait Lists for Sold Out Performances

Wait Lists for Sold Out Performances

If a show is sold out, please come to the venue to be put on a wait list beginning one hour before the scheduled performance. Patrons must be physically present and may only place their own names on the list. At five minutes prior to performance time, available tickets will be sold/issued to patrons on the waitlist. List position is forfeited if a patron is not present when their name is called.

Child Policy & Parental Guidance

Child Policy

Young people are welcome at TDPS events. Since performances require a sustained attention span and a quiet auditorium, please be considerate of both your young ones and other guests by excusing yourself with your child if they become disruptive during a performance.

To ensure that everyone enjoys the show, please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Every patron, regardless of age, must have a valid ticket of admission to enter the theater.
  • Children who are disruptive will not be allowed to remain in the theater and their party may be removed at the discretion of the House Manager. No ticket refund will be given.
  • Children 13 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
  • For children under the age of 1, you may request a “babes-in-arms” ticket, free of charge, from the box office with the purchase of an accompanying adult price ticket. This “babes-in-arms” ticket entitles the child entry to the theater provided that the accompanying adult holds the child in their arms. If the adult wants the child to have its own seat, even if the child is less than one year old, the adult must purchase a full price ticket for the child.
  • Please note: There are currently no diapering facilities inside the theater or in the lobby washrooms.

Parental Guidance

Some shows contain mature content, language, or themes. Please carefully consider whether a performance is appropriate for children before planning to attend with young people. To help you make an informed decision, please feel free to contact the TDPS box office for specific information about a show’s content:
