Patrick Russell is a professional actor and director whose work has been seen in theaters across the Bay Area. Most recent acting credits include Noises Off and The Play That Goes Wrong at San Francisco Playhouse. His work has been recognized with nominations and awards from both the Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle and Theatre Bay Area.
Stage credits include performances with American Conservatory Theater, TheatreWorks, California Shakespeare Theater, Aurora Theatre Company, San Francisco Playhouse, Magic Theatre, Marin Theatre Company, Marin Shakespeare Company, Center REP, and Shotgun Players.
Film credits include the feature films Being Us and Moss Beach.
Directing credits include She Kills Monsters and Stupid F*ing Bird at San Francisco State University; A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Arsonists at UC Berkeley; and All My Sons at Role Players Ensemble.
As an educator, Patrick teaches at American Conservatory Theater and has led workshops at universities across the country as a recruiter and representative for ACT’s training programs. He has also taught for California Shakespeare Theater, Academy of Art University, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, and served as the movement instructor for the B.F.A. in Acting program at Southern Oregon University. He is also the founder of The Actor’s Gym, a professional actor training program based in San Francisco.
Patrick is a member of Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA. He holds a B.F.A. in Acting from the University of California, Santa Barbara and is a graduate of American Conservatory Theater’s Master of Fine Arts program.
