About: 

Jean-Paul Gressieux has over 19 years of experience in nonprofit management, including 17 years in the San Francisco Bay Area theater scene. As Company Manager of Berkeley Repertory Theatre from 2012–2019, Jean-Paul supported and collaborated with hundreds of artists, artisans, and other producers of theater. With Berkeley Rep, he helped bring over 50 mainstage productions and countless events to fruition and worked with the organization's leadership to secure sustainable long-term artist housing in Berkeley.

Prior to Berkeley Rep, Jean-Paul spent several years at California Shakespeare Theater as Production Manager. He helped build the infrastructure for one of the Bay Area's leading stages of classical and new work, and producing many more plays. In addition to his production expertise, Jean-Paul assumed a leadership role at Cal Shakes, helping to draft the theater's strategic plan, and serving as part of a core group assisting in the design and execution of a capital improvement project, including a new support building for the theater.

Jean-Paul has forged partnerships with a number of organizations during his professional life, including Intersection for the Arts, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Cal Shakes, The 52nd Street Project (New York), and Baltimore's Centerstage. He has built numerous individual relationships with artists, artisans, consultants, business professionals, activists, and changemakers throughout the Bay Area and beyond.
