Angela Marino, associate professor in TDPS, has been elected to a three-year term on the Executive Committee of the American Society for Theatre Research (ASTR).
ASTR is a professional organization that fosters scholarship on worldwide theatre and performance, both historical and contemporary. Its membership includes professors, scholars, artists, and gradate students from around the world.
In her candidate statement for ASTR, Professor Marino wrote:
"We can create a conference culture that advocates for more humanizing and healing spaces for our membership, affordable places that inspire and nurture creativity, and that enable all of us to most fully value the experience of being in unique places together as a research community."
