TDPS 2019–2020 Season explores complexities of modern society, community building

June 4, 2019

The Department of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies (TDPS) at the University of California, Berkeley will present five main stage productions in its 2019–2020 Season. The season, which broadly explores the complexities of modern society and community building, includes two classics of modern theater, two new plays with local roots, and a highly collaborative iteration of Berkeley Dance Project, the annual TDPS dance concert.

Each production will be directed by a TDPS faculty member, lecturer, or local guest artist in close collaboration with TDPS production staff and student actors, designers, and technical theater artists. Additional details for each production will be available at least two months prior to the opening performance.

The main stage season will be accompanied by a series of six student-directed workshop performances. Under the supervision of TDPS faculty, advanced students will present original plays, choreography, and performance pieces.

Single tickets for the main stage season are now available online, with a 25% season discount for patrons who purchase tickets to four or more shows in one transaction. Group discounts are also available when purchasing 10 or more tickets in a single transaction. For more information, contact the TDPS Box Office at tdpsboxoffice@berkeley.edu.
