The Department seeks candidates who are interested in designing at least one production per semester in addition to their teaching duties. It is expected that all courses will be conducted in person, and that instructors will be present in the classroom. Courses include: Scenic Design for Performance, Costume Design for Performance, and Design for Performance.

Musical Accompanist (Temporary / Part-Time)

  • Accompany scheduled technique classes in the dance program of the Department of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies. Directions and assignments are provided by the course instructor.
  • Practice and preparation of material outside of the classroom, in consultation with the instructor.

Required Qualifications

  • Good technical knowledge/skills in music and demonstrated musical expertise.
  • Interpersonal communications skills and abilities to work well with instructors and students.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply musical skills to dance accompaniment.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Salary & Benefits

This is a 10 month non-exempt temporary position at 25% (10 hrs a week). This position is paid hourly with the possibility of extension. Hourly pay is commensurate with experience within the range of $25.00 - $29.00.
