A.N.T.I. End of the Year Showcase
Event: May 2, 2024
The A.N.T.I. (Artistic Nerds 4 Theatre Inclusivity) End of the Year Showcase will take place on Thursday, May 2 at 7pm in Zellerbach 170. A.N.T.I will be celebrating all the creative projects and people who have contributed to the 23-24 A.N.T.I season with an open cabaret night and afterparty! Everyone is invited, whether you have participated in an A.N.T.I production/event or if this is your first event! They are looking for a lighting operator and performers and films for this event. push/FOLD: Dance Workshop & Company Audition
Auditions: May 15, 1pm–5:15pm, San Francisco
push/FOLD (Portland, OR) seeks 1–2 professional-level dancers, ages 22 and older, adept in athletic and line-driven movement, partnering, and floorwork for ongoing paid company positions beginning July 2024. Off-season training begins June 2024. This is a workshop-style audition with a selection process culminating in an invitation to rehearse with the company for up to 6 paid rehearsals following the audition. Queering Cultural Forms: Free Class & Discussion Series
Events: May 3–18, 2024

Cal Shakes: Workforce Development Program
Applications Due: June 3, 2024
This course will introduce students to the practice of building and painting theatrical scenery. Students will learn how to excel in a shop environment with lectures and practical training in safety procedures, reading scale drawings, tool identification and use, carpentry, steel fabrication, and scenic painting. By the end of the course, students should have the skills and knowledge to pursue entry level employment in scenic construction and have a foundation to pursue other trades. CalShakes.org
UC Berkeley Summer Course: The Craft of Dramatic Writing
Course Dates: July 22 – August 9, 2024
The Craft of Dramatic Writing is an introduction to writing for the stage and screen through the study of published scripts and through writing and revising your own scripts. You will come to understand dramatic writing as an art and as a set of skills. Open to all Berkeley students. No previous experience or knowledge is required. Learn more at classes.berkeley.edu
New Media Academy: Indigenous Technologies Workshop
Course Dates: July 9 – August 15, 2024
Hosted by the Berkeley Center for New Media, the Indigenous Technologies Workshop in Summer 2024 is a six-week online course offering our broader community a space to delve into contemporary Indigenous issues, particularly those intertwined with new media and technology.
