Jessica Berman Hirigoyen holds an MA in Professional Voice Practice from the Birmingham School of Acting (UK), a course that was developed with the support of the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) in Stratford-upon-Avon. As a part of the RSC’s Artist Development Program, she has led American dialect workshops with members of the Swan Company, in addition to leading voice and dialect sessions for RSC British Bursary winning actors as a visiting student teacher. At the Birmingham School of Acting, Jessica was the dialect and voice coach for The Laramie Project, The Grapes of Wrath, and Measure for Measure, among others. Currently, she is co-dialect coaching Jerusalem, at the San Francisco Playhouse, where she has also done dialect work on My Fair Lady and led speech and accent workshops for their “Teen Artists” course. In the Bay Area, Jessica has done dialect research for plays at The Magic Theatre and Lorraine Hansberry Theatre, and in Los Angeles, she has performed in several productions with classical repertory theatre company, A Noise Within.
