Glynn received his BFA in Design Technical Theater and minor in Studio Art from the University of Montana. In 1985 Glynn started his professional career at age 23 as Properties Master at A Contemporary Theater in Seattle. The following year he became their full time Scenic Artist and painted sets for five seasons, then became design coordinator for A Contemporary Theater’s ’91 and ’92 seasons. Around 1993 Glynn decided to freelance and paint scenery for a variety of regional theaters in Seattle. He has painted for the Seattle Repertory Theater, Seattle Opera, Seattle Children’s Theater, and The Bathhouse Theater. In 1998 Glynn moved to Santa Cruz to work for Shakespeare Santa Cruz as Charge Scenic Artist for eight seasons. Glynn joined TDPS in 2006 as the Staff Scenic Artist and continues to enjoy working with and teaching Berkeley students the craft of painting scenery.
